Mahj Muddle Terms of Service

Effective: Upon acceptance.

Welcome to Mahj Muddle. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are an agreement between you ("you," "your") and LUCL Holdings LLC, owner and operator of the Mahj Muddle service ("Mahj Muddle," "we," "us"). By creating an account, joining a Muddle, or using our service, you agree to these Terms.

If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

1. About Mahj Muddle

Mahj Muddle is a software platform that helps independent mahjong communities ("Muddles") run leagues, organize matches, and track scores. Each Muddle is operated by an independent Muddle Operator, not by Mahj Muddle directly. Your relationship for purposes of matches, prizes, and disputes is primarily with your Muddle and its Operator.

2. Account Registration

To participate, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Provide accurate information when registering.
• Keep your password confidential and notify your Muddle's

Operator or us if you suspect your account has been accessed without your permission.

• Not share your account or impersonate another person.

You are responsible for all activity under your account.

3. Payments

If your Muddle charges a session or season fee, payments are processed through Stripe. By paying, you authorize Stripe to charge your selected payment method.

Refunds. Refunds are at the discretion of your Muddle's Operator, except that:

• If your Muddle Operator cancels a Season after you have paid, you

are entitled to a refund of your payment for that Season, processed through the Service.

• If you withdraw from a Season after it has begun, no refund is

guaranteed; your Operator decides.

Mahj Muddle takes a platform fee on each payment. Your payment receipt and your Operator's records will reflect the gross amount paid; the split between Operator and Mahj Muddle is internal.

4. Acceptable Use

When using Mahj Muddle, you agree not to:

• Harass, threaten, or harm other players, Operators, or staff.
• Cheat, manipulate scores, or misrepresent match results.
• Submit false no-show reports against other players.
• Use the service to engage in illegal activity.
• Scrape, copy, or extract data from the platform beyond what the

Service explicitly allows you to download.

• Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to access the underlying

code.

• Create multiple accounts to game leaderboards or evade

enforcement actions.

• Use the service to send spam or unsolicited communications.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules. See our Acceptable Use Policy for additional detail.

5. Content You Provide

You retain ownership of content you upload (profile photos, display names, etc.). By uploading, you grant Mahj Muddle and your Muddle's Operator a license to display that content as part of the Service.

You represent that any content you upload is yours to share and does not infringe anyone else's rights.

6. Disputes Within Your Muddle

For match disputes, score disputes, no-show disagreements, or refund requests, contact your Muddle's Operator first. Mahj Muddle does not arbitrate these disputes.

7. Mahj Muddle's Role

We provide the Service "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or will meet your specific expectations. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature at any time.

We are not a party to the relationship between you and your Muddle. We do not organize matches, host games, or set match outcomes.

8. Termination

You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy.

After termination, we retain limited records (acceptance history, payment receipts as required for tax and dispute purposes) for as long as legally required.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" with no

warranties of any kind.

• Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of

the Service is limited to the amount you paid through the Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or $100, whichever is greater.

• We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or punitive

damages.

10. Disputes and Governing Law

These Terms are governed by Texas law. Any dispute will be resolved by individual binding arbitration administered by the AAA under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, conducted in Gregg County, Texas. You and Mahj Muddle waive the right to participate in any class or representative proceeding.

You may bring an individual claim in a Gregg County, Texas small claims court if it qualifies for that court's jurisdiction.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes, we will give you at least 30 days' notice and require you to re-accept before continuing to use the Service. The version in effect at the time of your action governs that action.
